TO THE POINT OF ABSTRACTION: LAYERED SYMBOLS

Art I students explore the ABSTRACT-REPRESENTATIONAL continuum, creating highly abstract images by layering recognizable symbols and experimenting with drawing techniques. This project can be part of an introductory suite of activities for exploring symbolic and visual communication, and 2-d skill-building.
