Students explore a range of artmaking skills and media in this self-portrait project. The artmaking process addresses the complexities of their identities, utilizing abstraction and symbolism as artistic strategies.
These middle-school-age students are in an accelerated academic program, earning high school credit. Curriculum is designed to be at high school level, with an approach geared for the developmental stages of middle grade students.
