COLOR-WEAR
Art I is challenged to create wearable paintings, for a class fashion show. This project was conceived to use up excess paint, but has become a class favorite. To achieve success, students must use their skills and knowledge of color theory, engineering, and collaboration.
Art I students are in grades 9-12, and have typically had little to no formal visual art education, previously. Assessments include critique, self-evaluation of project parameters, and written reflection. Students update their personal portfolio websites with documentation of each project.
